…As military declares third crew member missing in action.
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ), yesterday said it has recovered another body of three of the occupants of the ill-fated Nigerian Air Force helicopter that crashed in Bama, Borno State, on Monday.
The body of the latest deceased was said to have been recovered from the crash site. It has, however, declared the remaining occupant, who was a technician and the third member of the crew, as Missing In Action (MIA).
A statement by the Director, Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, while noting that members of the search and rescue team were still searching the scene of the accident to recover the missing crew member, said: “Only one body has so far been recovered from the site of the crashed Air Force helicopter.
“The body of the technician, who is the third member of the crew, is yet to be located. He is therefore declared missing in action until found.”
